Prof. Nguyen received his BA from Van Hanh University (Vietnam) and holds a PhD from Harvard University. He is a scholar of Sanskrit religious literature and Buddhist philosophy and religious thought. His research interests include History of Religions, South Asian Religions in general, and specifically Tibetan Buddhism and Hinduism.
His publications include books as well as journal articles and chapter contributions on Buddhism.
He is currently working on a book on Sthiramati, a fifth-century Indian Buddhist philosopher.
